Ingredients

Quick Sancocho Cream Soup

  • 1 packet of La Sopera or Maggi
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of potatoes chopped into small cubes Optional

Traditional Sancocho Cream Soup

  • 3 cups traditional sancocho with broth.

Instructions

  • In a slow cooker, add three cups of water over medium heat.
  • Dissolve the packet of La Sopera or Maggi in a cup of cold water and then add it to the pot with the hot water. (No need to add condiments, not even salt, as the packet includes everything)
  • Add the chopped potatoes, and continue cooking for another 15 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
  • Remember to be stirring constantly, to avoid the cream sticking to the bottom of the pot.

    Traditional Sancocho Cream Soup

    • Add the sancocho to the blender (Don't add meat or chicken bones). Process for a minute or until you have the desired texture.
    • If the cream is too thick, you can add more sancocho broth.
