- 1½ pounds of fresh cassava.
- Water.
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt to taste.

The first thing is to peel and cut the cassava into 3 to 4-inch pieces.
In a medium saucepan, place the yucca and cover with enough water, add the garlic and add a little salt.
Cover the pot and let it boil over high heat, when it boils, lower the temperature and let it cook for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the cassava is soft.
After this time, remove the yucca from the water and drain it.
Heat the oil, and once hot, fry the cassava for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Then remove them from the oil and put them on absorbent paper.
Season with a little more salt and serve immediately.
