Russian Salad

Today we are going to prepare a delicious Russian salad, a typical dish in various countries in Europe, Asia, and America, where the main ingredient is potato, combined with certain boiled vegetables cut into pieces and mixed with mayonnaise.

Ingredients

For the dressing.

  • 1 cup of mayonnaise.
  • ½ cup of cream
  • ½ lemon.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar.

For the base of the salad.

  • 2 cups of carrot.
  • 7 potatoes.
  • 1 cup of cooked green peas.
  • 3 tablespoons of finely chopped onion.
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped parsley.

Instructions

  • On a cutting board cut the carrots and potatoes into small cubes.
  • Place a pot with water over medium heat and add the carrot for 10 minutes, drain and set aside.
  • In another pot with water over medium heat cook the potatoes for 20 minutes, drain and set aside.
  • Now, in a salad bowl, add the cubes of potato and carrot, already well drained and cold.
  • Add the pieces of onion, the green peas, and stir everything very well.
  • For the sauce, mix in a cup the mayonnaise and the cream, squeeze the lemon juice and add to the cup. Add salt and pepper to taste and the teaspoon of sugar.
  • Stir the contents of the cup and add to our salad.
  • Add the parsley, stir again, check the flavor. And it's ready!
