Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of shrimp.
  • ½ cup of red onion thinly sliced.
  • ½ cup of tomato diced.
  • ¼ cup of chopped cilantro.
  • 1 cup of tomato sauce.
  • Juice of 1 lime.
  • Juice of 2 oranges.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a pot. Meanwhile, wash and clean the shrimp thoroughly. Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp and cook. Remember, if they are small, cook for about 3 minutes, if medium for about 4 and a half minutes, and if large, for about 6 minutes. After this time, remove from heat and drain.
  • Chop the onion, tomato, and extract the juice from the orange and lime. Also, chop the cilantro.
  • Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, add the tomato sauce, juices, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until combined.
  • Let it sit for at least 20 minutes to enhance its flavor, and it's ready.
