I never thought that making condensed milk at home was so easy, that’s why I always decided to go out and buy it in a store or supermarket. Until one night I was preparing a dessert for the next day I needed condensed milk, to my surprise I didn’t have it at home, and it was already too late, so going out to buy it was no longer the option.
As for that dessert, I was preparing at the time, condensed milk was vital. I had to go to a plan B, make condensed milk from my house and be as fast as possible. Since then, whenever I need to use condensed milk in any of my preparations, I do it at home.
What milk used to make condensed milk?
It is widespread to see how recipes use powdered milk for its preparation, however, and in case of not having this ingredient, we can use liquid milk, and in this way obtain delicious condensed milk.
There are only four ingredients that we need to prepare this delight, a perfect accompaniment to some desserts, jellies, cakes, certain cookies, for splashes, and even for milkshakes. It is an ingredient that brings a lot of flavor to many cravings we eat every day, and if I can’t buy it, I don’t see why I don’t prepare it at home.
Of course, I recommend your moderate consumption of condensed milk, especially if you lead a very sedentary life, as this could have long-term consequences, I know it is delicious. - 480 g of sugar
- 250 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 270 g of milk powder.
- In a skillet, add the sugar and water and leave on medium-low heat for 7 minutes. After this time, turn off the heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add this mixture to the blender and add the butter. Blend.
- While blending, add the powdered milk in small quantities until you have poured all the milk, and the blender mixture is homogeneous.
- Let cool and ready to consume.
